Launched in 2004, is a family-run online business that provides Italian food and wine afficiados across the UK with access to authentic, high-quality produce made by small, passionate and highly-skilled farmers in Italy!

Serving thousands of customers across the UK, offers everything from mixed hampers to fine Italian wines, extra-virgin olive oils and biscuits. Through its online shop, the company prides itself on offering customers a taste of Italy no matter where they live in the UK.

To keep costs down and ensure the best value for money for customers, the company has cultivated a network of reliable farmers and wine producers across Italy. The Managing Director, Andrea D'Ercole, also makes a point of visiting as many of his suppliers on a weekly basis when he returns to Italy for business.

what was the challenge?

When it came to setting up the business in 2004, Andrea knew that he would be travelling to Italy on a weekly basis to negotiate with existing and new partners. Ensuring that customers in the UK are offered the best value for money was key to the company so working with Italian partners that supported this vision was paramount.

Andrea was looking for the tools that would enable him to access his emails, so that he could remain in touch with his family in the UK, the business as well as his network of farmers and producers located across Italy.

Keeping costs down while travelling was crucial, so any mobile working solution needed to be cost effective - without compromising on quality or connectivity.

what is the solution?

During discussions with Orange on its wide-range of mobile working solutions, was introduced to an Orange flat rate tariff which includes up to 700 minutes of calls per month.

Bundled within the tariff is an unlimited data allowance, meaning that Andrea has no limits when it comes to sending and receiving work emails, whether in the UK or on the continent. Synched with Microsoft Exchange, managing the device is taken care of by Andrea himself. With no technical expertise, he is able to configure, wipe and restore his BlackBerry Bold wherever he is. So should the device be lost, sensitive customer information remains secure and uncompromised. When a new device arrives, all settings and information can be restored easily, rapidly and with minimal disruption.

Whether on a train, in an airport lounge or just waiting for a meeting to start, Andrea also has superfast access to unlimited mobile internet through his BlackBerry Bold (3G and WiFI). is also supported by Orange Care, which provides protection (anywhere in the world) for lost, stolen and faulty devices.
