having trouble connecting?
If you're having problems with your Business Everywhere datacard or USB modem, try these five potential solutions:
1. check your modem
Check that your datacard (if not built-in) or USB modem is correctly connected. The best way to do this is by checking the LED status of your device.
If you aren't sure what the different colours and cadences mean, please refer to the LED Status Guide that came with your modem.

2. check your SIM
Check that your SIM Card is inserted correctly. This is often indicated by markings on the device itself or refer to the Quick Start Guide that came with your device.
3. check your coverage
Check that you're in a network coverage area. Again, referring to your LED Status Guide will tell you if your datacard or USB modem is detecting a 2G or 3G signal.
4. check your Business Everywhere software
Try to uninstall and reinstall your Business Everywhere software. The easiest way to do this is from the Microsoft "start" menu: Programs > Orange > Uninstall Business Everywhere.
If you are a confident PC user you can also uninstall Business Everywhere and all the device drivers by going into the Control Panel, then into ‘add/remove programs'. Always reboot your machine after removing software.
Refer to your Quick Start Guide when re-installing your software.
In general, USB modems are "plug and play" and all you need to do is re-insert your dongle to automatically load the Business Everywhere application.
Datacards will require your original installation CD.
