Answer Phone alerts on Personal Line |
We're making some improvements to your Personal Line (formerly known as Line Two or Enhanced Line Two). Personal Line allows business customers to separate business and personal calls by having two phone numbers on one device. In the first phase of improving the service we introduced a new Personal Line product which now allows users to access data and text messaging, as well as make voice calls on their Personal Line. Following this introduction, some of you told us that the loss of an audible alert or "beep" when an Answer Phone message is received (on either line) was a real loss to the service and for some of you it's extremely important to the way you do business. As a result of this we have been working on an enhancement which will address this. how will it work? From now on when you receive an Answer Phone message all users will receive the following notifications :
Any additional messages will depend on whether you have "new message alerts" switched on or off. what are new message alerts? These are messages that tell you how many new (not listened to) messages you have in your Answer Phone. It is a feature that can be switched on or off under your Answer Phone features and settings menu.
you will receive a notification (that beeps) to say "you have <x> new messages". You will get another notification each time you receive a new Answer Phone message e.g. "you have 2 new Answer Phone messages." Remember that if you want this facility, you will need to go into your Answer Phone features and settings for your business and personal lines individually.
If your new message alerts are OFF you will not get any alerts after your initial new message alert. When you go into your Answer Phone menu you will hear how many new messages you have. Once you have listened to all your messages the sequence of new message alerts will start again. back to tophow useful was this? 383432 ratings |
